Values

At Branfil Primary School our core values are at the heart of everything we do:

L  Love: Love yourself, love life and love learning
E  Explore: Be curious, ask questions, learn from your mistakes
A  Aspire: Aim high – keep learning and developing
R  Respect: Respect yourself, each other, and the environment
N  Nurture: Look after your mental, spiritual and physical health

As staff we look to model these values and instil them in our children and encourage the wider community to do the same. We have 5 core values and each half term we focus on one of these core values. Each value is introduced at the start of the half term with an assembly led by a member of the senior leadership team and then teachers are encouraged to continue the focus in their classes. Each week one child in each class is nominated as the Branfil Values Champion for embodying that value in how they have behaved. We also hold a half termly art competition linked to our school value whereby children must create a piece of art using a different medium for each value.

Last year, several of our year 6 children wrote a Branfil School Song which features many of our school values. You can listen to it here:
