PGL updates

We'll be adding daily updates to this page to keep you informed of how the children are getting on this year at PGL.

Friday 26 May
26 May 2017 @ 9:49 AM
Hello from all at PGL Marchants Hill where we are all packed and ready to roll.

We all slept well last night and most of us had to be woken up this morning to finish packing and squash our sleeping bags into stuff sacks.

Last night's evening activity "Robot Wars" was a real test of our inventive skills.  Who knew a robot could be fashioned from two banana boxes and three metres of sellotape?

This morning half of us are hiking round the Devil's Punchbowl and the rest of us finish our activities with zip wire and sensory trail.

All of the children have been well behaved and are looking forward to seeing their parents and carers this afternoon.

Greetings from Sunny Surrey.

We are just back from a lunch of tortillas and tacos following a morning of climbing and orienteering for half of us and zip wire and problem solving for the rest.

A large lunch was needed by those about to hike through the Devil's Punchbowl.

The other half of our group will tackle climbing and orienteering this afternoon.

Last night we all slept well following a riotous variety of Wacky Races.

24 May 2017 @ 1:45 PM
Greetings from sunny PGL where the scent of sunscreen and success pervades the air.

So far two groups have been fencing and problem solving and the others have done archery and Aeroball - an exhausting combination of basketball and trampolining.  We have at least one budding Robin Hood who scored a bull's eye.

Just off for a jacket potato (Maris Piper or Sweet) lunch.

Last night we played "capture the Flag" and things got quite competitive - and no we didn't put Miss Bain and Mr Edwards on opposing teams!!!

23 May 2017 @ 2:42 PM
Message from PGL - A big hello from a cloudy but warm and dry Marchants Hill where we are just back from a lunch of baguettes and wraps.
We had an enjoyable campfire last night with lots of shaggy dog stories and action songs.
This morning we have done rifle shooting and Jacob's ladder - a group climbing challenge, or abseiling and the sensory trail.  Jacobs ladder and wet challenge course this afternoon or ball sports and Jacob's ladder according to our groups.

Monday 22 May 2017 - Message from PGL

Hello from sunny Marchants Hill where we are queuing for lunch.

Last night we played Ambush in the woods; we are great at seeking but hiding quietly needs some work.

Raft building this morning for all groups - physical and fun!

This afternoon two groups have rifles and archery and the other two have challenge course and trapeze.

21 May 2017 @ 2:58 PM
