What does SEN mean?
SEN stands for Special Educational Needs.
Who is the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo)?
Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) is Mrs Metcalfe who can be contacted at office@branfil.havering.sch.uk or 01708 225186. Mrs Metcalfe co-ordinates the provision for children with SEN across the school.
Are you worried about your child’s progress or the support in place?
Please speak to your child’s class teacher first to learn more about what support for your child looks like. If you still have questions or concerns please speak to your child’s Year Leader and then Mrs Metcalfe.
If you have any complaint about the special educational provision we make for your child please speak to the SENCo first and then, if you are not satisfied, follow the complaints procedure. If you speak to a governor s/he will also refer you to the SENCo initially.
Do you feel your child may have additional needs and are in need of some advice?
Parents/carers are also welcome to get in touch with Mrs Metcalfe directly (office@branfil.havering.sch.uk or 01708 225186) or you can speak with your child’s class teacher or Year Leader who will liaise with Mrs Metcalfe.
